At the beginning of 2003 Tatjana Drujan and Alexander Schawgulidse founded the ensemble "Rare-à-Tête" with the aim of taking care of the rarely performed works for cello and piano and bringing them closer to the bright audience. The name "Rare-à-Tête" is composed of two parts: "Rarities", which illustrates the focus of the ensemble's musical work, and "Tête-à-tête", alluding to the togetherness of the partners in a Duo.

In August 2004 the ensemble won the 31st International Chamber Music Competition "Palma d`oro" in Finale Ligure, Italy.



Special attention should be paid to the ensemble's last CD recording, "Romantic Road", which was created with the friendly support of the association "Brücke zwischen Ost und West" ("Bridge between East and West") e.V. Königstein.
